Zap Consulting, an insurance industry leader in onsite diagnostics of electronics, appliances, equipment and HVAC systems, has an immediate opening for a Regional Sales Associate to join our Business Development Team. This opportunity is based in Charlotte, NC area and includes travel. This position will be responsible for the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia.

 

Position Summary:

 

The Regional Sales Associate is responsible for the execution of client sales and marketing activities within an assigned geographic territory outlined above and for the successful attainment of Zap Consulting’s mission and goals. This position executes strategies to expand the customer base in the territory and reports directly to our Vice President of Business Development.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Assumes direct sales responsibility for a targeted region within the territory.

  • Executes marketing plans, sales strategies and initiatives within the territory.

  • Utilizes all communication mediums available to connect with clients (face to face, phone calls, mailings, e-mails, social media, etc.)

  • Works with CRM (Salesforce), to document marketing efforts and ensure database is current.

  • Builds and maintains relationships with customers/strategic contacts in the assigned territory.

  • Plans, coordinates and executes client entertainment events/activities in conjunction with the Business Development Department.

  • Attends industry conferences, outings and events.

  • Ensures highly effective client communication and the achievement of client satisfaction levels.

  • Sells all company services within the assigned territory.

  • Focuses on sales prospecting efforts within the assigned territory (i.e., lead generation, pipeline management).

  • Works to achieve and exceed overall sales goals and sales activity standards.

  • Works to achieve territory-specific growth goals.

  • Communicates with Operations Team activities relevant to Zap operations

  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.

  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes.

 

Position Requirements:

 

  • High School or equivalent education required, Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred.

  • Must have a minimum 1-3 years of hands on sales experience, insurance industry experience a plus but not required.

  • The Regional Sales Associate must be a sales professional with a successful track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.

  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.

  • Strong value system (e.g., integrity, honesty).

  • Highly flexible and adapts well to a rapidly changing environment.

  • Able to multi-task and work with the pressures of deadlines.

  • Possesses and demonstrates strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

  • Willing to take initiative, ownership, and risk.

  • Must enjoy service oriented type of work.

  • Must be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision.

  • Organized and efficient.

  • Ability to win the support of colleagues, peers, and staff.

  • Well-developed sales skills with the capacity for continuous improvement.

  • Willingness to travel frequently sometimes with little prior notice.

  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clear driving record that meets company standards.

  • Driving records are checked on a routine basis to ensure compliance with insurance requirements.

  • Pass background check. 

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Frequently required to stand on one’s feet for prolonged periods of time.

  • Frequently required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

  • Frequently required to drive a vehicle for extended periods of time.
